SchoolApply is a platform that connects international students to the University they want to study in, all around the world. It works with thousands of Universities in the United Kingdom, USA and Canada, including Thompson River, and makes it easier for students to apply for Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses from any mobile, laptop or tablet. No need to print or send anything, you can upload your attachments and send your application directly online. It also makes it simpler to apply to several schools with a single application. Once you completed one, you can send it to up to five different schools.
What is adventure training?
If you think that two years of field trips, outdoor excursions, and skill-based activities don’t really sound like studying, think again. The Adventure Guide Program from TRU does just that and gives you a Diploma at the end, providing that you get the 60 credits necessary to complete the course, obviously. At the end of the course, you can start working as a mountain guide, an outdoor skills instructor, or continue your studies to do a Bachelor’s in Tourism Management. The course includes theory classes such as emergency management or guiding leadership, as well as activities like natural history, backpacking, river rafting, search & rescue and much more.
Maximise your chances
To take part in the Adventure Guide Program from Thompson River, applicants must complete the Adventure Studies Department Application and Information Form, be at least 19 years old at the start of the course and meet certain educational requirements. The program is open to international students but they also need to demonstrate proficiency in English by providing a TOEFL, TOEIC or similar. If you are an international student and want to take part in the Adventure Guide Program, using third part platform like SchoolApply
can help you craft the perfect application and keep track of all the necessary documents, in order to get in without stress.
